Preparation prior establishing a REIT and listing
A REIT is a type of trust in which investors bring money to invest in this type of security together. Establishing and managing the REIT needs to be under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to make investors confident that their investment is managed by professionals and help seeking opportunity to invest in new property as investors expect and are managed safely.
- Establishing a REIT needs to be approved by SEC
- Trust Deed: Investment policy needed to follow rules and regulation, apparent and easy for investors to understand.
- Disclose unit holders rights, for example - Dividend right etc.
