Subject:    Request for the Stock Exchange of Thailand assigning the symbol "H"
for temporary suspension the trading of the Company's shares
To:    President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand
Reference is made to a summons issued by the Civil Court to Banpu Public Company
Limited for attendance at the hearing scheduled for 6 March 2018 at 9.00 a.m. ,
with reference to Banpu letter no. BP0118/003 dated 18 January 2018 , for
reading the judgment of the Supreme Court in the civil case that Mr.Siva
Nganthavee, as the Plaintiffs, sued the Company, its subsidiaries and executives
as the Defendants, claiming compensation for damages arising out of the
wrongful act for the purpose of gaining information of coal mine concession and
feasibility study reports of the lignite fired power plant project in Hongsa,
Lao PDR ("Hongsa Project"), with reference to Banpu letter no. Bor.Por.
50214/338 dated 10 August 2007.

As the reading of Supreme Court verdict will occur during the stock trading 
session on the morning of 6 March 2018 and the judgment of the Supreme Court may
have significant impact on the share price,  the decision of the Company's
shareholders or other investors in making investments, for equal dissemination
of information the Company therefore would like to request the Stock Exchange of
Thailand to assign the symbol "H" to the Company's shares for temporary
suspension the trading of the Company's shares in the morning trading session of
 6 March 2018.
Upon the Company learning of the outcome of the judgment of the Supreme Court in
the morning of 6 March 2018, the Company will inform the Stock Exchange of
Thailand of the said information for the knowledge of the shareholders and other
investors. So the company can request the Stock Exchange of Thailand to resume
the trading of the Company's shares" afterwards.
