Subject:    Temporary problem with transmission line system
To:    President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand

Banpu Public Company Limited ('Banpu') would like to inform the Stock Exchange 
of Thailand that its subsidiary Banpu Power Public Company Limited ("BPP") had
been notified by Hongsa Power Company Limited that at 13:06 hrs. There was
lightning on 500 kV transmission line located 14 kilometers from Hongsa Power
plant. The transmission and substation protection system activated, therefore
transmission system was temporarily disconnected from the power plant. The
system resumed normal operation at 14:47 hrs.

Please be informed accordingly and kindly disseminate the information herein to 
investors.
